The Purple Guy is responsible for The Missing Children Incident, where he dressed up as one of the animatronics and lured kids into the back room to kill them. It is unclear if he's an employee at Freddy's Fazbear's Pizzeria, but either way, he is an ominous presence throughout the game. He makes my stranger danger radar go berserk.
Game Mechanics
The realistic setting that the games encompass is what really makes FNAF so terrifying. A local pizza joint, a child's bedroom…these are all places that scary events can take place. It's also smart of Cawthon to change it up in each installment so that the game doesn't become too predictable.
